Our Accessibility Commitment

As a provider of software for public benefit, Agilaire understands that while the improvement of product functionality is significant in enhancing efficiency for users of the respective products, there is an equally significant and corresponding need to ensure that the functionality is readily available to all users. To this end, we continuously evaluate our products against the best and available technologies, with consideration for the long-term sustainability of the product at reasonable cost for our customers. As with our product functionality, we seek continuous improvement for all of our users. This work included testing AgileWeb against previous Section 508 standards many years ago to ensure compliance.

For Our US Customers

In 2024 the US Department of Justice updated the Final Rule for ADA Title II for information and communication technology covered under Section 508. These requirements include incorporating the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 by reference and applying Level AA Success Criteria and Conformance Requirements (WCAG 2.1 AA) to websites, mobile applications, as well as to non-web electronic documents for public users of web and mobile applications (source).

To this end, version 4.12 of AgileWeb (the public facing web application) has been tested and are fully compliant with WCAG 2.1-AA. In addition, AirVision has been updated so that PDF reports generated by AirVision that might be posted to the web for public consumption (or for internal use) are also WCAG 2.1-AA compliant to meet the electronic documents standard. While there appears to be no legal driver in federal law for the AirVision internal Client itself, we recognize the growing needs for accessibility within our state, local, federal, and tribal partners. We had been monitoring a number of development environments and tools for some time to determine the most viable time to begin development of AirVision 5, our next generation version of AirVision, which would include a web-based client and WCAG accessibility compliance. Work began in 2025 to lay the groundwork, and while we have a very large product with considerable functionality to migrate, we are working diligently to complete AirVision 5, with a target initial release in late 2027 or early 2028.
